With the advent of the Internet and marketing of diamonds online, an organization such as VIDPA is of utmost importance today. VIDPA is the consumer’s protection agency when it comes to online diamond and jewelry purchases.
Other organizations that you see on other jewelry web sites, such as the Jeweler’s Board of Trade and others, are in existence to protect the interests of the jewelers first. These variables affect the brilliancy of all Diamonds. Unfortunately, these items are not noticeable to the naked eye and worse still most jewelers online are not qualified to assign these grades. Because of this, many diamond retailers are making inaccurate representations to increase profit.

VIDPA has also reviewed our rating according to these certifications and ruled that our grading is as fair as possible. This is the first requirement to getting a VIDPA seal.
You should always look for the VIDPA seal when shopping for a diamond or diamond jewelry online. By buying from a non VIDPA certified site, you are taking a chance.

AGS - American Gem Society Founded in 1934 by Robert M. Shipley who also founded the GIA. The AGS is based in Nevada, USA.
